This Saturday, hundreds of thousands took to the streets in support of a People’s Vote. Renew and its supporters were out in full force, handing out thousands of leaflets and campaigning hard for a People’s Vote. Our candidates, members and supporters joined from far and wide, with members travelling down from Liverpool, Birmingham and one member travelling from as far as Greece to take part.
Party leader James Torrance commented:
“We’re here to demonstrate that a People’s Vote is something that’s demanded by a huge volume of people in this society. People want to stop Brexit, it’s not’s just a question of politicians in Westminster, it’s about everybody’s lives in this country, and people deserve a chance to have their say when it comes to the final deal.”
“It’s time for politicians to take notice. MPs should feel that in every constituency in this country people have changed their minds about Brexit and people want to have the opportunity to vote now that they know what the answer is going to be. They want to vote to remain in the EU.”
